Is your organization planning to deploy Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007? Is your core team of knowledge workers and IT professionals prepared for assuming this responsibility? We have leveraged our early adopter experience with the platform to create a series of MOSS 2007 QuickStart Briefings that will provide your team with the fundamentals for working with, supporting and administering this leading edge collaborative server offering.

This early adopter content is targeted at organizations looking to get started now with the platform. The material has been prepared by a team of Aivea consultants engaged building early adopter solutions for our customers, and will be delivered by individuals from that team. Our overall objective is to create an efficient forum to transfer the knowledge and learning we've developed in order to give your team a large productivity boost in their ramp-up.

Our MOSS 2007 QuickStart Briefing is comprised of five tracks that explain, expand and explore the features behind Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2007 in 3-4 hour interactive sessions, starting with an introductory-level course where attendees of all competencies and disciplines learn the fundamentals and a high-level overview of the Microsoft technologies that power MOSS 2007. The succeeding four MOSS 2007 tracks break down content into areas that are most relevant to the knowledge workers and IT professionals in your organization:

  • Web content publishers and designers will gain exposure to MOSS 2007' s core publishing features such as
  • Production support specialists will cover topics to prepare them to administer your next MOSS 2007 deployment, including setup, configuration, capacity planning, troubleshooting, search indexing and security.
  • Server administrators and DBAs will receive instruction on the essentials needed to support a MOSS 2007 server deployment within your network infrastructure and how to manage backup/restore cycles, disaster recovery and clean installation/rebuilds.
  • Developers who are familiar with the .NET framework and ASP.NET web programming will learn the ins and outs of creating custom solutions for MOSS 2007 using web parts, working with site, page and content templates, search customizations and the security model.

Each track features multiple live demonstrations of an actual MOSS 2007 server and its features, a handy reference guide that provides attendees with a summary of the presentation and links to deeper references and resources that our team of consultants engaged on the MOSS platform have identified as their "top picks".

With these sessions our objective is to provide your team with a distillation of the best practices, experience and knowledge that our consultants have acquired while working with the early releases of MOSS 2007. By leveraging our know-how, attendees can flatten the curve associated with learning a new product and begin working more productively and effectively.
